Our story began with a shared dream: to create travel experiences that reflect both the grandeur of Pakistan’s mountains and the warmth of its people. That dream was carried by our founder, Shah Doulat — a mountaineer whose vision continues to guide everything we do today.

Summit Experts was founded by Shah Doulat, a son of Shimshal — the legendary “Valley of Mountaineers” — whose life was shaped by the mountains he loved. From humble beginnings, Shah rose to become one of Pakistan’s most respected high-altitude mountaineers and a mentor to a generation of young guides.
Over his career, Shah summited some of the world’s most formidable peaks, including K2 (8,611m), Nanga Parbat (8,126m) — without supplemental oxygen — and Gasherbrum II (8,035m), alongside many other peaks and demanding trekking routes across the Karakoram. But Shah measured his life by more than summits. He believed in lifting up the next generation — training young guides, strengthening the safety and professionalism of Pakistani mountaineering, and proving to the world what local talent could achieve.
Shah is no longer with us, but his spirit lives on in every expedition we lead and every traveller we welcome. His legacy is not a memory we look back on — it is the foundation we build on, every single day.
