Today the company is led by his family and a team of guides rooted in Shimshal — the "Valley of Mountaineers" — many of whom climbed and trained alongside Shah himself. You travel with locals who know these mountains better than anyone.

How experienced are your guides?

Our guides include climbers who have summited K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum II, Spantik, and many other peaks, as well as cultural guides with deep knowledge of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. We work with both men and women guides for expeditions and cultural tours. Through the Shah Doulat Alpine Guide Fellowship, we also train and support the next generation of Pakistani mountain guides.
