Summit Experts was founded by Shah Doulat, a son of Shimshal — the legendary “Valley of Mountaineers” — whose vision and passion transformed adventure tourism in Pakistan. One of the country’s most respected high-altitude mountaineers, Shah summited some of the world’s most formidable peaks, including K2 (8,611m), Nanga Parbat (8,126m) — without supplemental oxygen — and Gasherbrum II (8,035m), alongside many other peaks and demanding treks such as Pastore Peak, Minglik Sar, the Lukpe La Trek, the Snow Lake Trek, and the K2 Base Camp & Gondogoro La Pass Trek.

But Shah measured his life by far more than summits. He believed in lifting up the next generation of guides, in safety, in professionalism, and in showing the world what local mountaineers could achieve. Though Shah is no longer with us, his spirit guides everything we do. Today, his family and the team he built and inspired carry his vision forward into every expedition we lead.
